Community
Practical standards and community expectations for everyone using Grove. We built this space so student work gets discovered, respected, and built upon.
Last updated: 12 August 2026
These Community Guidelines outline the expectations for everyone building, sharing, and collaborating on Grove. Our mission is to ensure student projects — whether hackathon builds, research prototypes, or side projects — get discovered, credited, and carried forward.
By using the Service, you agree to follow these Guidelines alongside our Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy. Where these Guidelines provide practical community standards, our Terms describe legal requirements.
We believe student work should be represented honestly and transparently.
Collaboration is the core of our community. Treat fellow builders with respect and professional courtesy.
Keep project listings informative, safe, and focused on building great products.
Important
Grove exists so students can see what their peers are building and learn from it, together — not to judge, rank or safeguard anyone's ideas. Once a project is posted, its repository link is as visible as everything else on the page, and it's realistic to assume other students will look at it, learn from it, and in some cases reuse parts of it.
That's the point of a co-learning space, but it means the responsibility for controlling what happens to your code sits with you, not with us. Before you link a repository here, give it a proper licence — GitHub's licence picker takes under a minute — or keep it private and share only what you're comfortable with others seeing. See the Terms and Conditions for the full disclaimer.
Teams are a shared identity for collaborative work.
We actively review reports to maintain a safe, welcoming space for all student builders.
