Fahhhh: Emotional Damage for Your Code
A VS Code extension that plays the legendary โfahhhhโ whenever your code throws an error, because every failed build deserves the emotional damage it truly deserves.
About this project
I was tired of my code failing in complete silence.
You know the ritual. You write some code. You run it. You wait. And then VS Code casually dumps a wall of red errors on your screen like it's informing you that your bloodline has been permanently dishonored.
So I thought: what if my computer actually reacted to my mistakes? And thus, Fahhhh was born.
The concept is incredibly sophisticated: if I fuck up, the computer screams.
The extension watches VS Code diagnostics and automatically plays the legendary โFAHHHHโ whenever errors show up. Because apparently a red squiggly line wasn't emotionally devastating enough.
Then I thought, well, what happens when the code actually works? Obviously, we need a Success sound. And when it fails particularly badly? Emotional Damage.
So now my IDE can celebrate my rare moments of competence and audibly mourn my downfall.
The Success sound is also completely organic and was made by Muhammad Basil P V โ huge thanks to him for the idea and for contributing to the psychological warfare.
Is this useful? Debatable. Does it improve developer productivity? Absolutely not. Does it make a failed build significantly more traumatic? Finally, yes.
